Konrad Wilkens has a Ph.D from Lund Universities (LTH) Division of Fire Safety Engineering, in fire behaviour of materials, and has spent the last 10 years working for the Danish Institute of Fire and Security Technology as a Research Scientist. He is now back working for the Division of Fire safety at Lund University, specifically doing detailed research in the areas of wood and bio-based material fire behaviour, fire retardants and battery fire safety. His presentation will be on the issues, needs related to use of fire retarded wood products, and the research within this topic being undertaken at LTH currently.
